Ambon Part 2

Wow…Ambon airport is clean, much cleaner than terminal 1 at Cengkareng Airport in Jakarta. Two thumbs up.

I was at loo when Stevie from UN DSS (United Nations Department of Security and Services) collected me at airport. I’ve heard announcement….”Attention to Mrs. Evie Sumardjono, the one who collects you is waiting near by information centre.” Geez…in a sudden I became a Mrs. Sumardjono. I didn’t even know that I have had married yet hehehehe

I took my ID card (oh ok…it’s a name tag actually, with my ‘angelic’ photograph on it, and nobody believes it’s my picture…dang) so Stevie could recognize me. Yes he did. Someone greeted me when I was walking out off the exit gate. He laughed, found that this new Mrs. is a young woman. Since then I asked him to call me Mrs.

The road in Ambon is pretty fine, unlike at Jakarta’s outskirt. Along the way from airport to office there is beach. Awesome. Well not only beaches, but also church…church…church and more churches. I wonder how many churches are in Ambon. It simply is sooooo many.
